We are home today; enjoying a Minnesota snow day! School is cancelled and snow just keeps coming down. We've gotten about 5-inches so far, 10 more predicted today and then the wind is supposed to pick up to make some nice big drifts. I'm glad to be indoors.
Yesterday afternoon, the kids participated in their first piano recital. It was held in our church and they played on baby grand on stage in front of a lot of people. They both did just great.
After everyone had played (there are 28 piano students), their teacher got up and said, Jake Abrams prepared two songs for the recital and really wants to play his other one, too. So, Jake got up again and played song number two. I know I gave birth to him, but sometimes I wonder if he is really my child! I HATED piano recitals. I was always so nervous. In fact, I almost made myself sick yesterday just being nervous for them.
