Christmas Brunch

Maggie, I mean "Magdalene" (she decided she wants to go by her given name now...more on that later) has a fairly small class at school - she is one of 8 girls in the class. We decided it would be really fun to host a brunch for all the girls and their moms.

Invitations were sent, preparations were made and everyone was able to come. We had a blast.

After consuming large amounts of food, we did a craft - mod podge is a great invention. Scott drilled holes in tin cans for us so we could attach handles. We cut up wrapping paper and mod podged the cans to make cute Christmas treat holders.
The day would not have been complete without a little cookie decorating, massive amounts of frosting and sprinkles. And more sprinkles.
During the cookie decorating-fest, the girls broke out into song and treated all the moms to a little preview of their upcoming Christmas program. It was precious. I have it on video, so when I figure out how to post that, I will.
Anyway, back to Magdalene. During the course of our brunch conversation, I discovered from Maddie's mom, that she now wants to be called "Madeline" and Josie's mom said Josie now wants to be called "Josephine." It all becomes a little clearer...

  1. I noticed "Magdalene" printed on your Christmas card (so cute, by the way) and wondered if that was the case. So grown up :-) Your Christmas party sounds like such a fun idea!
